Board Member ~ Suzanne Brean ~ Head Trainer
I am the founder of Dogs for Invisible Disabilities (DID),
a nonprofit corporation located in Lebanon, Oregon.
I founded DID after struggling to find a Service Dog (SD) for my invisible disability.
There was no one in my area that had experience training Psychiatric Service Dogs (PSDs)
or was willing to help me train a dog on my own.
I have many years of experience obedience and public access training SDs. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and
currently am working on my International Dog Trainer Accreditation (offered through The Kennel Club of the United Kingdom).
I gained a lot of my experience through volunteering as a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs for the Blind,
plus obedience training my own pet dogs.
As a SD consumer I am uniquely qualified to provide education and input on training, public interaction and Service Dog
etiquette.
Our goal is to help all who need a service dog and want the owner/trainer to have the skills to do so.
